Title: Paper doll

It’s just the paper doll for racial harmony day which our class submitted……

Basically, the idea behind the whole thing is that the array of colours represent the different races, while the clothes design is a (attempted) merge of a few ethical costumes……

Thanks so much for helping to crap the written portion, Kaizhi^^

I meant it to be with the same series as the 5 units from Genectrols: D-generation…There is currently no pilot in mind, though……

It was submitted for some activity for my CCA near the start of the year……

Background for cover of coursework 2008 Friday, Sep 19 2008

Basically I painted a galaxy, because the title of my coursework was “Alien World”, and, well, to me, the word Alien really reminds me of outer space. Initially, it was like this:

but Mrs Teo told me it looked too plain, so I added some more “lights” to it (as can be seen by comparing the 2 pieces of works.

This isn’t the final cover, but personally I think it looks nicer without the fonts (of the title). XP

This is actually one of the images I used in my coursework this year. I love this image most amongst all the images, because of all the details that is displayed. And I used only about 1/2 h to finish it!!!

Ha…ha……

seems that drawing Mecha really helps ^^!!!

Old drawing 3 Thursday, Sep 4 2008

title: Head of infinite Justice

media: pencil on paper

Approximate date: mid-2006

Approximate size: A6

I sketched this (with reference to pics from the internet) not very long after Infinite Justice Gundam was revealed.

My initial objective was merely to familiarise with drawing the head Infinite Justice, which had also became my favorite.

It also served as a practice for drawing head portion of Mecha.

I drew this not long after I came to know of Gundam Wing Series.

I had decided to use the Gundam Wing drawingstyle (or something close to it) to creat a character, so that I can familiarise with the drawing style and perhaps incorporate some of the better areas of this stule into that which I’m more used to (Gundam SEED series)

So here lies the product

title of series (including “old drawing 5″): sketches of faces of protagonists of the Gundam Saga

media: pencil on paper

Approximate date: end of 2006 (Amuro Ray), Beginning of 2007 (Heero Yuy)

Approximate size: A6

Amuro Ray from Zeta and Double Z

I had wanted to draw a picture of all the protagonists throughout the Gundam Saga. However, in the end I gave up beacuse I simply could not find any good reference picture for those of Turn A Gundam and Gundam V. Also, the art for the Mobile Fighter series was so bad to me that I almost could not bear to even look at the characters.

Amuro and Heero’s pics are two of the best in all those I’ve draw, other than that of Shinn and Kira from the SEED triology (SEED, SEED Destiny; SEED Destiny CE 73 Stargazer), which is why I put them up.

very old poster paintings part2 Wednesday, Sep 3 2008

For this pic we were required to draw a live plant using poster colour.

The one I drew was a fern.

I guess I was attracted by how hard it is to really depict  such a plant, since its lack of twigs and trunks meant that I will have to use more shades and be more skillful at using them just to depict the plant as, well, a plant.

This picture also reflects my usual drawing-style, which is more or less a kind of water-colour-like poster painting.

Another class assignment

For this one we were required to draw fallen leaves. I felt that this picture is special because it is the first ever experience I had with Dry-brush technique(used for the highlights of the leaves), which ius why I put it up.
